WESTPOINT TIMER WIRING DIAGRAM
by SUSHANTA SAMAL
(BAHRAIN)
Dear Sir,
We bought a Westpoint fully automatic washing machine (Model FE 2) in 1997, which has been working satisfactorily for last 12 years.
Recently it developed some problem in timer, and after spinning cycle, it was not stopping, we used to stop manually. I personally opened the timer, one plastic tooth was broken, some how managed to file a tooth. Now the timer is OK. But unfortunately I interchanged the wires (though I had marked them correctly) in the timer, so the drum is rotating in one direction in slow speed, no other option is possible due to wrong wiring.
I sincerely request you, if you can provide me the wiring diagram of the timer, I can fix this and still be proud of using the machine for some more time.
I strongly believe your customer satisfaction, and hope to get a solution for my problem.
I salute your team for providing me a machine, which is still strong after working for last 12 years.
Regards,
Sushanta Samal
Can anyone out there help this guy who has shown some real enitiative by trying to repair his machine, he needs a wiring diagram to make up for not doing a little drawing himself before he removed the wires, a photo shot of a machines' wires in colour may help if you have the same model.
Lesson learned here: Allways make a drawing of the wires or a list with tapb numbers and colours to avoid this type of problem.
And with most mobile phones having cameras these days why don take a photo as well before removing wires and parts, this is basic engineering practice in the "techy world" out there so that even if we come back to a job in a month after parts have been obtained; a diagram is there in the machine to remind you where all the bits go back.
If you go to my links page you should find a company able to help with this. Washingmachine help.com I think it's called.
Thanks for your question I hope you get a reply asap Brian
