LG Front Load Washer

The soap dispenser door on my LG front load machine keeps getting stuck and I don't know why or how to keep it from getting stuck.

to see if they can help, there must be others out there with a similar problem, is it a build up of hardened soap or limescale? There should be a button on the top of the drawer to allow you to remove it and clean inside the soap hopper area.
