Laundry-Environmental-Issues for Laundry & Dishwashing

Laundry-Environmental-Issues when using Laundry and also for Dishwashers

Google

Laundry-Environmental-Issues and Dish-washing and their impact on the planet.

Great strides have been made over the last thirty years by the large manufacturers of both Laundry Machines and Dishwashers to reduce their impact on the local environment and global warming.

The reduction in water, power, and detergent levels has enabled people to use their machines safe in the knowledge that they are cleaning their items in the most environmentally friendly way that is practical in a modern home.

The amount of water and energy has been reduced so that the amount of detergent released into the waste water sewage system is kept to a minimum.

Laundry-Environmental-Issues, to consider with Laundry machines.

Laundry-Environmental-Issues

Always use the correct wash program for the particular type of fabric or soiling, do not use a delicates 40ÂșC program for everything you wash, thinking you will save money and water.

You won't because the delicates program uses a high level of water for both wash and rinses, so that the mechanical action is reduced to give the gentle wash.

This would mean, to get a thorough wash, you would have to increase the amount of detergent in the drum to compensate for the extra water. This is a bad thing.

A dishwasher will use a fraction of the water and energy that hand washing in a washing up bowl will use, plus the dishwasher give a full proof clean finish every time (as long as it was loaded correctly and all the water ways and filters kept clean).

Environmental-Issues for laundry and dish-washing, we bring you the best information we can get, and if you have a query contact me with it.

For quick reminder how your wash process works go to How to do Laundry Also, the amount of detergent you would need to get a decent wash, with soiled cottons at this temperature would be a waste of effort, and cause over sudsing of the drum and dump large amounts of detergent down the drain. You will always be disappointed if you ignore the programs supplied.

Use the Cottons program for heavily soiled cottons with low water levels for maximum mechanical action within the drum and a small amount of detergent and you will save all round on water, power and detergent. This is a good thing.

The amount of power consumed to heat this small amount of main wash water is smaller than if you were to wash by hand in the sink.

Environmental-Issues and Dishwashers

Although sometimes way down on the shopping wish-list for some home owners, and businesses, the dishwasher is a great time saver and an invaluable piece of machinery in any kitchen.

When it comes to the Dishwasher and Environmental-Issues for the planet, the dishwasher comes up trumps in saving water, energy, and detergent in the sewage system, and is a huge improvement for the planet over washing by hand in the sink.

You may require a few more extra dishes in the cupboard to enable the filling throughout the day of the dishwasher, so that you can run it once at night on cheap rate electricity if available, but it is well worth it in the long run.

There is not a human "washer upper" that can compete with the consistent high quality wash and hygienic finish that will come out of the dishwasher every day.

There is no competition when it comes to washing dishes by hand, filling a dishwasher comes out first every time.

Just keep the filters clean and the salt container charged with salt for the water softener, check the wash arms are free from tomato seeds blocking the jets every week and you will not be let down.

Do not introduce too much detergent into the wash cabinet, use the recommended amounts as per the instruction manual.

Always Read the manual, it is the first thing to check to get the best from your machine and to reduce the environmental impact when considering Environmental-Issues and your machine.

Dishwashers in the work place improve your Company's Health and Image

Laundry-Environmental-Issues and the truth about dishwashers and the environment.

A dishwasher when used in the coffee and tea station of a busy office is a real bonus to all involved within the company, both workers and visiting clients; and good for the environment too.

It is a fact that paper/plastic cups come into the office in neat tubes and leave the office in huge black bin liners; they also look horrible around the office and workplace, and they encourage workers to bring in their own mugs and cups.

How many office tea stations have you seen with dirty stained cups sitting on a draining board?

Not a good impression for your visitors or healthy one for your staff either.

Cold sores, viruses, faecal matter, and tummy bugs abound on the detritus found on swab tests in areas around the tea station.

A dishwasher will cut sickness absenteeism at a stroke because a hygienic wash system is working in a fail-safe way every time the machine runs.

When you offer your customer or client/visitor a drink it will be in a clean cup and saucer, from a sparkling tea pot, a credit to your organisation.

You can always tell if someone has a dishwasher as their teapot is always sparkling inside and out, those without a dishwasher rarely clean inside the teapot so it looks heavily stained with tanning yeugh!!

Use your dishwasher for all your cast-iron furniture on the hob and in the oven, my wife runs a program for flower pots to ensure disease free potting up. All helping the Environmental-Issues and the new push to control our carbon foot print.
So a dishwasher will mean:-)

Less waste, less water, less power, less sickness, and a happy company team. A fantastic investment for every company with more than two staff, and the Laundry-Environmental-Issues taken care of. This is a Good Thing.
