Environmental-Issues for Laundry & Dishwashing

Environmental-Issues when using Laundry and Dishwashers

Google

Environmental-Issues of Laundry and Dishwashing and their impact on the planet.

Great strides have been made over the last ten to fifteen years by the large manufacturers of both Laundry Machines and Dishwashers to reduce their impact on the local environment and global warming.

The reduction in water, power, and detergent levels has enabled people to use their machines safe in the knowledge that they are cleaning their items in the most envionmentally friendly way that is practical in a modern home.

The amount of water and energy has been reduced so that the amount of detergent released into the waste water sewage system is kept to a minimum.

Environmental-Issues to consider with Laundry machines.

Always use the correct wash program for the particular type of fabric or soiling, do not use a delicates 40ºC program for everything you wash thinking you will save money and water.

You won't because the delicates program uses a high level of water for both wash and rinses, so that the mechanical action is reduced to give the gentle wash.

This would mean, to get a thorough wash, you would have to increase the amount of detergent in the drum to compensate for the extra water. This is a bad thing.

Environmental-Issues we bring you the best information, and if you have a query caontact me with it.

For quick reminder how your wash process works go to How to do Laundry Also the amount of detergent you would need to get a decent wash with soiled cottons at this temperature would be a waste of effort, and cause over sudsing of the drum and dump large amounts of detergent down the drain. You will alsways be disapointed if you ignore the programs supplied.

Use the Cottons program for heavily soiled cottons with low water levels for maximum mechanical action within the drum and a small amount of detergent and you will save all round on water, power and detergent. This is a good thing.

The amount of power consumed to heat this small amount of main wash water is smaller than if you were to wash by hand in the sink.

Pop and see a very thought provoking site by a fellow SBIer who has a lot of very interesting links and information on ways to improve our viability on this planet lots of Environmental-Issues ........ Alternate Energy Sources Com Only use the high water level delicates and woollen programs for those fabrics and yarns that require low temperature, low mechanical action, gentle wash, cycles.

See Wash Care Labels from Environmental-Issues to check which program is best, or if you have forgotten which program to use on your garment check out the .......... Wash care labels a quick 2 minute guide Just to check that you are sure what the wash care label on your garment means. You can always come back to Environmental-Issues for a refresher if you save this as one of your favourite sites now.

Environmental-Issues and Dishwashers

Although sometimes way down on the shopping wish-list for some homeowners, and businesses, the dishwasher is a great time saver and an invaluable piece of machinery in any kitchen. When it comes to the Dishwasher and Environmental-Issues for the planet, the dishwasher comes up trumps in saving water, energy, and detergent in the sewage system, over washing by hand in the sink.

You may require a few more extra dishes in the cupboard to enable the filling throughout the day of the dishwasher, so that you can run it once at night on cheap rate electricity if available, but it is well worth it in the long run.

There is not a human "washer upper" that can compete with the consistent high quality wash and hygienic finish that will come out of the dishwasher every day.

There is no competition when it comes to washing dishes by hand, filling a dishwasher comes out first every time.

Just keep the filters clean and the salt container charged with salt for the water softener, check the wash arms are free from tomato seeds blocking the jets every week and you will not be let down.

Do not introduce too much detergent into the wash cabinet, use the reccomended amounts as per the instruction manaual.

Always Read the manual, it is the first thing to check to get the best from your machine and to reduce the environmental impact when considering Environmental-Issues and your machine.

Dishwashers in the work place improve your Company's Health and Image

A dishwasher used in the coffee and tea station of a busy office is a real bonus to all involved with the company, both workers and visiting clients; and good for the environment too.

It is a fact that paper/plastic cups come into the office in neat tubes and leave the office in huge black bin liners; they also look horrible around the office and workplace, and they encourage workers to bring in their own mugs and cups.

How many office tea stations have you seen with dirty stained cups sitting on a draining board?

Not a good impression for your visitors or healthy for your staff either.

Cold sores, viruses, feacal matter, and tummy bugs abound on the detritus found on swab tests in areas around the tea station.

A dishwasher will cut sickness absenteeism at a stroke because a hygienic wash system is working in a fail-safe way every time the machine runs.

When you offer your customer or client/visitor a drink it will be in a clean cup and saucer, from a sparkling tea pot, a credit to your organisation.

You can always tell if someone has a dishwasher as their teapot is always sparkling inside and out, those without a dishwasher rarely clean inside the teapot so it looks heavily stained with tanning yeugh!!

Use your dishwasher for all your furniture on the hob and oven, my wife runs a program for flower pots to ensure desease free potting up.
So a dishwasher will mean:-)

Less waste, less water, less power, less sickness, and a happy company team. A fantastic investment for every company with more than two staff, and the Environmental-Issues taken care of. This is a Good Thing.

Wouldn't you like to build your own web site and let the net have the benefit of your knowledge and expertise on any subject or hobby? From Working Moms at Home to full size commercial websites, you can find out all the FAQ's at FAQ's at Sitebuildit, Don't click on this link unless you want to know how to build a great website That's what I did in November 2005, and now I have two sites up and running.

This one has at least 30 pages in the first two keyword searches at Google, ask, and Yahoo, I could NOT have done that on my own without the guidance of SBI! I now get 15,000 visits per month and building.

All I had to do was follow the rules they laid down and build the content pages from my own knowledge to end up with the unique site you see here and now. With thousiands of visitors every month and building every day.

You can follow the links on the other pages to my other sites and see how easy peasy it is.

Go on have a look you know you want to. Come back here to the Environmental-Issues page later, there will be a lot more added over the coming months.

If you have already got a web site up and running with NO Traffic then with an SBI site you could drive qualified traffic straight to your door in weeks. Have a look at make my knowledge sell now.

It was so easy I could not believe it, I had tried other systems in the past and found them very "Clunky" is the only word that I can think of but this system is so smooth from start to finish.
